I am pleased to again endorse Karen Harper for the position of Saanich Councillor. She has consistently followed through on her positions relating to the EDPA, budget, and land use. For this next stage of redeveloping Saanich’s environmental bylaws, I know Karen will push to ensure a proper process fully involving both residents and the environmental community in identifying the goals of a new EDPA.

She takes a similar approach regarding budget and land use, with an underlying theme of respect towards the residents of Saanich. Her experience at the BC Pension Corporation underlines her commitment to this approach.

She is passionate, committed and intelligent individual seeking to improve her community.

She has an excellent view of the larger picture and will be an asset to Saanich in strategically moving forward on its agenda.

She has been active in sharing ideas with Saanich council prior to her election and has been a reasonable, moderating, respectful voice on council over the last year.

Her focus on fiscal responsibility is needed at the local level.
